Perched at 7,800 feet in California’s Sierra Nevada, Caples Lake Resort offers a serene alpine retreat with a variety of summer activities.

Nestled beside Caples Lake, visitors can rent fishing boats, kayaks, paddleboards, or a Pontoon Boat to explore the crystal-clear water of Caples Lake or cast a line for rainbow, brown, and mackinaw trout.

Hiking trails nearby, like the scenic route to Emigrant Lake, reward adventurers with sweeping Sierra vistas. With cozy cabins and a full-service marina, the resort is a perfect basecamp for mountain exploration, fishing getaways, and quiet lakeside retreats.

Rentals are offered on a first-come, first-served basis. Reservations are required for the Pontoon Boat.
